It’s official, the most stressful day of 2016 is June 8th.

Coachella 2017Coachella made it official and announced the dates for the 2017 Music Festival today.  Weekend 1 will be held April 14-16 over Easter Weekend, while Weekend 2 goes off the following weekend, April 21-23.

Advanced tickets go on sale Wednesday, June 8th at 11:00 a.m. PDT. General admission passes are priced at $399, while VIP passes go for $899.  The June 8th pre-sale will be the only time payment plans will be available.

Good luck to all.

GoINDEEpMusic Turns 3

third bdayWell, the blog has been up and running for 3 years.

Moving forward, the site will continue to post New Indie Releases, Indie Bands On Late Night Television, Monthly Mixtapes, and Coachella related stories.  That’s about all I have time for these days.

Occasionally, I’ll mix in some news about Heritage Acts, whether you like it or not.  You can always count on the year end lists as well.

Maybe this is the year I connect the site with social media, but probably not.

Thanks for looking,

-Dave

The Thermals – Soda Bar – San Diego – Tonight!

16/05/20 at 12.44pm   /   by deepster19   /   0 Comment

GoINDEEpMusic will be out at the Soda Bar in San Diego tonight to check out The Thermals.

The Portland-based indie-punk band has been around since 2002 and have released seven studio albums.  Their current album We Disappear came out on March 25.

The ThermalsThe trio consists of Hutch Harris (guitar, vocals), Kathy Foster (bass, vocals), and Westin Glass (drums, vocals).  Harris and Foster are founding members, Glass joined the band in 2008.

The band is currently touring North America showcasing most of the tracks off of We Disappear, as well as playing their 2006 album The Body, The Blood, The Machine in its entirety, just not in proper order.  It appears that sets have been running roughly 23 songs deep, so there’s no need to worry about not getting your 15 bucks worth.

Also appearing tonight are Colleen Green and Summer Cannibals.  Get your tickets right here, doors fly open 8:30.  I’ll update this post if the vids I shoot tonight are decent.

Here’s a few tunes they’ll play tonight:

The Stone Roses Unveil New Track “All For One”

16/05/13 at 8.43am   /   by deepster19   /   0 Comment

Life is Good!

The Stone RosesThe legendary Manchester baggy band The Stone Roses released their first new music in over twenty years yesterday.  The new track is titled “All For One,” and is apparently the lead-single from the band’s forthcoming album, no details yet.

In anticipation of this historic event, posters and billboards with the band’s lemon logo were placed all over the U.K., very similar to what we did here in the States…

I can’t wait to sing-a-long to “All For One” when The Roses play the 4:35 pm time slot in the Gobi Tent at the 2017 Coachella Music Festival.  What? It’s okay to dream, hell, who could’ve dreamt up The Stone Roses would get back together and then release new music?

Holy shit! What a historic day in the world of music.  Sorry Radiohead, this is way bigger news than you guys releasing an album, just sayin.

Give it a handful of listens below.
