Top 57 Tracks of 2013
I love lists! I enjoy making lists, thinking about making lists, discussing lists, and analyzing lists. Lists Good!
I anticipate the end-of-year lists that countdown the top albums and songs of the year…that is until I read them. I painfully click-through 50 (and sometimes 100) images of chin scratchers.
As we conclude our first year of operation, let me present to you a refreshing look back at of some of 2013′s best tunes. You may at times not agree, roll your eyes, scratch your head, or giggle. However, what I do promise is a credible list that is free of Timberlake, West, Pusha, and Sweatshirt. The list is also Daftless, Drakeless, Buggless, and most certainly A$APless. Hell, The Arcade Fires beat out Lorde by the narrowest of margins, just to make it onto my list.
I will present the list in an eleven part series, so clicking-through and being done with it immediately is not an option. There is the option of not reading it at all. There will be no chitter chatter about the tunes because they made my list because I like them.
Furthermore, I will present the Top Albums Of 2013, a list that promises to be equally as credible and fun, later this month.
Maybe if were lucky… some of our staff members will offer up their 2013 lists as well.
