Here’s the weekly Top 20 College Radio Albums from the Radio 200 list published by CMJ (College Media Journal). The reputable rag surveys up to 600 college radio stations of a weekly basis to compute the list.
In addition, here’s my Spicy Six Albums of the week. These are the six albums that can’t find their way out of my six disc changer. The list consists of my Top 5 Albums of the week, and one Heritage Album that’s worth dusting off and giving a listen.
Here’s the lists:
Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings three week run at the top of the charts is over, as the latest beautiful new album from Dum Dum Girls (pictured) “Too True” takes over the top spot. Five new albums break into the Top 20, including the LA based garage band Together Pangea that jumps up 16 spots to #16, while the Santa Barbara, California indie band Gardens and Villa comes in at #11.
Broken Bells hold down the top spot on Spicy Radio for a second week, while the debut full-length from Temples is inserted into the changer as Sky is ejected.
