Here’s the weekly Top 20 College Radio Albums from the Radio 200 list published by CMJ (College Media Journal). The reputable rag surveys up to 600 college radio stations of a weekly basis to compute the list.
In addition, here’s my Spicy Six Albums of the week. These are the six albums that can’t find their way out of my six disc changer. The list consists of my Top 5 Albums of the week, and one Heritage Album that’s worth dusting off and giving a listen.
Here’s the lists:
After four weeks at the top Dum Dum Girls fall to #2, as Beck (pictured) takes over #1. Five new albums enter the Top 20; including the latest self-titled release by St. Vincent, up 33 spots to #3, and “Atlas,” the third release by Real Estate, jumping 45 spots to #4. On Spicy Radio the aforementioned Real Estate is the new #1, replacing Broken Bells. Seriously, Real Estate is the closest thing I’ve found to The Feelies in the last 25 years. BTW, that THUMPERS “Galore” was a nice find.
