Here’s the weekly Top 20 College Radio Albums from the Radio 200 list published by CMJ (College Media Journal). The reputable rag surveys up to 600 college radio stations of a weekly basis to compute the list.
In addition, here’s my Spicy Six Albums of the week. These are the six albums that can’t find their way out of my six disc changer. The list consists of my Top 5 Albums of the week, and one Heritage Album that’s worth dusting off and giving a listen.
Here’s the lists:
Jack White knocks Parquet Courts from the top spot on the College Radio Album Chart, while White’s bitter rival The Black Keys hold at #3. Three new artists enter the Top 20, as Craft Spells reenters the countdown. Tom Krell’s electronic project How To Dress Well is the biggest mover, jumping 99 spots to #12 with his latest effort “What Is This Heart?” Also new the countdown are Philadelphia based singer-songwriter Timothy Showalter who uses the moniker Strand Of Oaks, and international pop sensation Lana Del Rey.
