Here’s the weekly Top 20 College Radio Albums from the Radio 200 list published by CMJ (College Media Journal). The reputable rag surveys up to 600 college radio stations of a weekly basis to compute the list.
In addition, here’s my Spicy Six Albums of the week. These are the six albums that can’t find their way out of my six disc changer. The list consists of my Top 5 Albums of the week, and one Heritage Album that’s worth dusting off and giving a listen.
Here’s the lists:
Jack White remains at #1 on the College Radio Album Chart as his album “Lazaretto” is now the biggest selling piece of physical vinyl since Pearl Jam’s 1994 release “Vitalogy,” congrats Jack. Four new albums enter the Top 20 including the latest efforts from Gulp, The Acid, White Fence, and Alvvays (pictured). The self-titled debut from the Toronto based indie beach band Alvvays (pronounced Always) enters the entire Top 200 all the way up at #7. Did I mention its okay to call them “All-Vays” for giggles? My top compact discs have been unchanged for a few weeks, I sense changes coming soon.
