Each week I post the Top 20 College Radio Albums courtesy of CMJ (College Media Journal). Below are also 5 discs that I have in heavy rotation and an album that amazingly turns 10 years old in 2015, I call it my Spicy 6.
Father John Misty (pictured) ends Sleater-Kinney’s four week run at the top of the College Radio Album Chart. There are four new additions to the Top 20. The first is the third studio album from Swedish psychedelic rockers The Amazing. Also new to the countdown are the latest efforts from San Francisco natives Sonny And The Sunsets, and Los Angeles indie pop artist Colleen Green. The fourth new album to the countdown is from Dan Deacon, he jumps 147 spots to debut at #9. The Decemberists remain at #1 on my Spicy 6 list. The Kills sophomore release No Wow turns 10 years old this week. The tune “The Good Ones” never gets old. Enjoy.
