Each week I post the Top 20 College Radio Albums courtesy of CMJ (College Media Journal). Below are also 5 discs that I have in heavy rotation and an album that amazingly turns 10 years old in 2015, I call it my Spicy 6.
That’s three weeks in the top spot for Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett. Ms. Barnett still occupies the top position in my compact disc player. Three albums make their debut in the countdown this week including the eighth studio release from the Tucson, Arizona based rockers Calexico, and the third solo effort from Mikal Cronin. The sophomore album from indie rockers Speedy Ortiz (pictured) debuts all the way up at #9. The full-length debut A Certain Trigger, from British alt-rockers Maximo Park turns 10 years old in May. The track “Apply Some Pressure” is a goody!
