Here’s the weekly Top 20 College Radio Albums from the Radio 200 list published by CMJ (College Media Journal). The reputable rag surveys up to 600 college radio stations of a weekly basis to compute the list.
In addition, here’s my Spicy Six Albums of the week. These are the six albums that can’t find their way out of my six disc changer. The list consists of my Top 5 Albums of the week, and one Heritage Album that’s worth dusting off and giving a listen.
Here’s the lists:
Caribou is #1 for a second week, while King Tuff is still #2 on the College Radio Album Chart. Four albums make their debuts this week; those include the latest from the Canadian indie-pop band Stars (pictured), the English psychedelic five-piece Hookworms, and the hip hop duo comprised of El-P and Killer Mike who call themselves Run The Jewels. The fifth studio album from TV On The Radio “Seeds,” jumps 104 spots to land at #4. HAERTS remain at #1 on Spicy Radio. This week will forever be known as Ride week, so dust off “Nowhere” and enjoy.
