Here’s the weekly Top 20 College Radio Albums from the Radio 200 list published by CMJ (College Media Journal). The reputable rag surveys up to 600 college radio stations of a weekly basis to compute the list.
In addition, here’s my Spicy Six Albums of the week. These are the six albums that can’t find their way out of my six disc changer. The list consists of my Top 5 Albums of the week, and one Heritage Album that’s worth dusting off and giving a listen.
Here’s the lists:
The latest self-titled release from St. Vincent (pictured) replaces Beck after two weeks at the top of the charts. A total of four new albums enter the top 20 this week; including the latest from War On Drugs, the Philadelphia indie band jumps up 48 spots to #5, and the Syracuse, New York hardcore outfit Perfect Pussy, debut in the Top 200 all the way at #15. Another noteworthy debut is the sophomore effort from Bear Hands. The band will perform at the Coachella Festival this year on the Saturday lineup. “Singles,” the fourth studio album from Future Islands, takes over the top spot on Spicy Radio.
