Canadian indie power-pop band The New Pornographers announced this week that they’re planning to release their first album since 2010 on August 26. The follow-up to Together is a 13-track effort entitled Brill Bruisers.
Frontman A.C. Newman said this about the forthcoming release: “This is a celebration record. After periods of difficulty, I am at a place where nothing in my life is dragging me down and the music reflects that.”
The band has schedule a fun North American fall tour to celebrate the album’s release, and they will receive support from The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart. The tour includes stops in Phoenix on 10/13, Pioneertown on 10/15, and San Diego on 10/18.
