Here’s the weekly Top 20 College Radio Albums from the Radio 200 list published by CMJ (College Media Journal). The reputable rag surveys up to 600 college radio stations of a weekly basis to compute the list.
In addition, here’s my Spicy Six Albums of the week. These are the six albums that can’t find their way out of my six disc changer. The list consists of my Top 5 Albums of the week, and one Heritage Album that’s worth dusting off and giving a listen.
Here’s the lists:
The Black Keys remain at #1 for a second straight week, while three new albums enter the Top 20. The latest albums from The Orwells (pictured) and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah enter the entire Radio 200 countdown by debuting inside the Top 20. “Sunbathing Animal,” the sophomore release from Parquet Courts jumps up 132 spots to make its debut at #8. DJ Deep’s #1 album this week is “Disgraceland” from The Orwells. There is a distinct Pixiesesque feel to the album that I’m totally digging. For those that missed it, The Killer debut album “Hot Fuss” turned 10 years old last week.
