Each week I post the Top 20 College Radio Albums courtesy of CMJ (College Media Journal). Below are also 5 discs that I have in heavy rotation and an album that amazingly turns 10 years old in 2015, I call it my Spicy 6.
That’s four weeks in a row in the top spot for Father John Misty, as all four top spots remain the same this week. This week four new albums enter the countdown, including the third studio album from San Francisco’s Moon Duo (pictured) and Brunswick Maine’s pride and joy Aly Spaltro, better known as Lamb Lady The Beekeeper. The other two new albums are the first solo effort from Will Butler and the Australian indie pop band San Cisco.
Purity Ring stays at #1 in my compact disc player, the track “Bodyache” is currently my son’s favorite tune. In two weeks, Alligator, the third studio album and oftern confused as the debut album by The National turns 10 years old. “Abel” is always a nice treat.
