Temples Share Video “Keep In The Dark”

13/08/24 at 9.42pm   /   by deepster19   /   0 Comment

temples_bandU.K. buzzband Temples have shared a video for their latest single “Keep In The Dark.” The neo-psychedelic four piece have had the indie world wondering for months when we’ll be graced with their debut full-length. Unfortunately, the news isn’t good, look for the LP to drop… not until sometime in early 2014. Therefore, I have included two other singles the band shared earlier this year, “Shelter Song” and “Colours To Life” for your viewing pleasure. Temples recently announced a brief North American east coast tour scheduled for November. One can only wonder if the band is waiting to tour the west coast in April 2014. Enjoy!

The Replacements “The Complete Collection”

13/08/22 at 11.49pm   /   by deepster19   /   0 Comment

51ZyQdxniyL._SL500_AA280_This week Rhino Records released a “digital box set” of all seven Replacements studio albums and also included the EP Stink. For the reasonable price of $56.49 you can digitally own all 95 proper Mats tunes. Personally, I would rather own the physical copies (which I do…of course). The reunited Mats will perform this coming Sunday at Riot Fest in Toronto.

The 4 hours, 27 minutes, and 12 seconds of listening fun includes:

Sorry Ma, Forgot To Take Out The Trash (1981)
The Replacements Stink EP (1982)
Hootenanny (1983)
Let It Be (1984)
Tim (1985)
Pleased To Meet Me (1987)
Don’t Tell A Soul (1989)
All Shook Down (1990)

elle-haerts-band-deEvery Sunday we take an INDEEp look into an emerging indie artist. This week we Shine the Sunday Spotlight on HAERTS.

HAERTS, yes HAERTS, no misspelling there folks. The indie pop band led by frontwoman Nini Fabi hail from Brooklyn, NY and Germany. The band set the blog world buzzing late last year when the single “Wings” surfaced. The infectious synth-pop vibe of “Wings” will have you hitting repeat, trust me. This week the band announced the soon-to-be released debut EP Hemiplegia on September 17. The five piece will soon embark upon a tour that has them supporting Washed Out.

outside-lands-2013The organizers of the Outside Lands Music Festival have announced an impressive schedule of performances available this weekend to be streamed. The yearly festival is held in the friendly confines of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Unfortunately, the Paul McCartney headline set is not streaming, however, I couldn’t help but notice, Hall and Oates will stream live on Sunday at 4:45pm on channel 1, can’t wait!

For those not making their way to San Francisco this weekend plenty of pretend expensive hotel rooms, taxi cab rides, and nine dollar beers are still available.

Happy Pretending!
