Each week I post the Top 20 College Radio Albums courtesy of CMJ (College Media Journal). Below are also 5 discs that I have in heavy rotation and an album that amazingly turns 10 years old in 2015, I call it my Spicy 6.
That’s three weeks in a row in the top spot for Father John Misty. Two new albums make their debut in the countdown, including one from Washington folk musician Brandi Carlile and another from Virginia Beach producer and songwriter Matthew E. White. Purity Ring (pictured) takes over the top spot in my compact disc player, while they also gain ground on the College Radio Album Chart jumping up to #4. The self-titled debut from The Bravery turns 10 years old next week. Try to stomach the tune “Unconditional” one last time.
